Congratulations, Sir! You just bought a 1970 Datsun Bluebird.

I have been looking new “potential” project car for some time now. Requirements was like “old enough” to be able to do modifications street legal, “maybe Datsun” because i have already some experience about that brand, “no rust” and “something funny”.

And now i have found it!

I was browsing sales ads randomly from Nettiauto.com (used car sales -site) and when this gorgeous example well-preserved Datsun appeared i was sold.

Car was also near to my location.

One of best thing in this car is license plate. Not the plate itself but word what comes from letters and numbers; HUU-II. It´s almost like HUI what means something like “whoa” or “omg”. And those words fits my plans indeed.

“HUU” stand also for TV show character named “Herra Huu” (Mr Huu) from 1980s. Show was some kind of children program and i remember watching it when i was a kid.

What a perfect name for Datsun, Herra-Huu!

Car is basically 1970 Datsun Bluebird 510. Four doors and L13 engine. Manual transmission with four gears.

It has been restored some years ago and there is not rust almost at all. There is also nice old school wheels under it.

Everything works like new and no parts missing. Interior is also in perfect condition.

Next i will store this in my garage and hopefully start building something neat from it in next few years.
